A weekend of riding through the Adelaide Hills and the Barossa Valley. A cleansing and uplifting escape that refreshes you on every level.
Guests will stay at the iconic Mount Lofty House before tackling a challenging route along seldom travelled roads to the luxurious lodgings of The Louise Resort and finishing in Adelaide at the Crown Plaza Hotel.
The 10 guests will arrive at Mt. Lofty House by 6pm in time for an private dinner with Stuart. While you’re settling in bikes will be built, cleaned and tuned in preparation for the next days ride.[/service]
Fuel up with an ala carte breakfast followed by a pre-ride briefing before the big day. We’ll ride from Mt. Lofty House through the Adelaide Hills tackling the Tour Down Under circuit around Stirling and the steep Mengler’s Hill. A picnic lunch will be set up along the route before finishing in the Barossa Valley, arriving at the Louise Resort the most luxurious lodgings in the area.
Unwind and refresh in your private suite before heading out to enjoy the ultimate legend of Seppeltsfield Tour. You’ll tour the Seppeltsfield Estate with Stuart and finish with a private tasting in the trophy cellar of the “paramount Collection” and the 100 year old Para Vintage Tawny. In a first for Seppeltsfield you’ll get the opportunity to taste your birth year and experience the longest lineage of single vintage wines in the world in the Centenary Cellar, culminating in a taste direct from the barrel of your birth year.
Rest and refresh before dinner at the exclusive Appelation Six Season private room, enjoying a 5 course chefs tasting menu paired with local wines, all while your bike is cleaned and tuned by our pro level mechanics. Over dinner you’ll hear Stuart’s stories spanning 25 years of professional cycling, including 17 Tour De France and 6 Olympic Games.
Starting with a deluxe continental breakfast served in your room, you’ll come down to a clean bike and a pre-ride briefing.
We’ll ride out through the Barossa Valley taking in climbs such as Checkers Hill, the Gorge Road and the famously steep Corkscrew Road.
Arriving back in Adelaide you’ll have the option to stay on at the Crown Plaza hotel or clean up, change and catch an airport transfer.
